We have been in contact with this customer regarding the site attendance in dispute. Basically on a routine site maintenance visit (Fire alarm System) an issue was found on an existing installed system cable to the basement area of the premises.

COMPLAINT MADE TO CHECKERTRADE BY CUSTOMER
LANDLORD & LETTING SHOW – February 2014
This two day event held at the Barbican was aimed at helping Landlord’s and Letting Agents with advice on problems encountered and giving solutions to them.
Davenheath decided to exhibit as it had increasingly become apparent, in the day to day business, that many Landlords and Managing Agents did not know their fire protection requirements or had had installed inadequate or wrongly zoned detection by non qualified persons.

Having been long standing members of ECA, NSI and more recently British Fire Consortium, Davenheath has been awarded Safecontractor accreditation. Safecontractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognizes very high standards in Health & Safety management amongst UK contractors and is applicable to most sectors although particularly relevant within the manufacture, property, facilities management, retail and leisure sectors, all of which are big users of contracted services.

FIREX 2013
Davenheath Limited exhibited at FIREX 2013 which took place at the NEC, Birmingham in May. This was the company’s first time of exhibiting and we were delighted to be part of the FIKE Tech Zone complex. The show was very successful and Davenheath not only had many new and interesting enquiries (all of which are naturally being followed up) but that customers were very complimentary about the look of our stand and how our staff were able to answer an array of questions including details about current legislation, training requirements, different types of fire alarms, signage, emergency lighting, etc.

Electrical fault sparks fire that destroys Co-op shop
A Co-op store in Waterlooville, Hampshire, was decimated by a fire that rapidly took hold.
The blaze, which started on Saturday afternoon on 5 January, required fire crews to remain at the scene until Sunday, damping down to prevent the fire from reigniting.
Fashion retailer fined for fire safety offences
Fashion retailer Jack Wills Limited has been fined £27,000 after pleading guilty to six offences under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
The case – heard at York Magistrates Court on 13 December – followed an inspection by fire safety officers in January 2011, when a notification of deficiencies was issued to the company to improve fire safety standards and management.
